Monmouth serves as Welsh gateway

The town of Monmouth serves as a gateway between England and Wales and may appeal to those looking to get away from it all.

Around 8,000 people live in the small town, although there is a wide choice of property for sale in Monmouth.

It boasts surprisingly quiet roads and has a mix of residents, including retirees and young families. This means it has a wide range of facilities, including a large supermarket and a leisure centre, as well as a choice of schools.

Monmouth also has an interesting history, with a Roman fort and it was also the birthplace of Henry V.

For commuters, access to a larger area will be needed, and Monmouth is around 35 miles from the Welsh city of Cardiff. ADNFCR-1222-ID-801838424-ADNFCR
